Conscious choice and awareness in the thought process is a stairway to the meditative mind.
The ability to direct the thoughts which stream through the mind at any given moment and the feelings which govern them is something most of us will do at some point during the day. But could you spend the duration of your waking consciousness in command of your state of being? This is a challenge I have given to myself. Not to resist the flow but to aid it through conscious elevation, direction and to chose 'a diet of good thoughts only.'
In Shakespeare's indelible words: 'to be or not to be?' When we live in fear we deny ourselves, we deny our worth, we chose in essence not to exist, we deny our own vibration and live out of alignment with our Truth. To chose to be is to honour yourself and your highest potential and allow all experiences native in your journey through karma to ascension.
I have begun to consider these proverbs as simply meaning not to harbour or act from the seat of fear. Instead in choosing to release ourselves from fear we open up to the expansive vibration of love allowing our highest potential to come into being. We affirm our reality by nurturing that light within us and expressing it into the world. When you can neither see nor hear nor speak you simply are, you are being. And that, I believe, is the ultimate indivisible state into which we transcend. These three wise monkeys sit as the Buddha affirming the only way to wisdom lies in letting go and becoming One.
Allow the flow. Let it be everything. Let it be nothing.
